Being asked to travel for a wedding is always such an honour!
Kayleigh and Pip made my year when they asked if they could fly me to
Mexico to photograph their wedding day. After shooting the weddings of several of their friends, when I turned up to the hotel it was just like hanging out with old friends.
I travelled to Mexico for just three nights as it was in the middle of a super busy few weeks for me and although I wasn’t sure what day it was for a few weeks, it was 100% worth the jet lag. I’ll never forget shooting all day with these guys in the sweltering heat and then capturing their own private beach party. These guys sure know how to party, that’s for sure! There was one moment when everyone was on the dance floor where I realised that in photographing these monumental
Occasions for people that we, as photographers have the best job in the entire world. Period.
I shot this wedding back last year but in an effort to get more weddings on the blog I wanted to get this one on here – the hotel did such an incredible job with the details! After the ceremony and photographs, the wedding co-ordinator took Kayleigh & Pip around to their own private section of the beach that they’d setup with a dance floor and well, as you can see from the images…it just looked amazing. There’s something magical about dancing on the beach under the stars, that’s for sure.
