Neely & Robbie
St Tewdricks
What an amazing day spent with these two. I’ve known Neely for years now so when she asked if I could photograph her wedding I was over the moon <3 St Tewdrics is the most amazing place to get married, and their ceremony / reception room looked as beautiful as ever thanks to its abundance of natural light and floral arrangements. How did the proposal happen?
Robbie took me to St Pierre as a surprise belated birthday night away. We got upgraded to the bridal suite as it was for a special occasion – my 30th birthday. Whilst in the room un-packing and looking out over the lake, I realised Robbie had gone really quiet. I turned around to see what he was doing, only to find him on one knee holding the most beautiful ring. It was the perfect proposal and I obviously said yes!
What’s your favourite memory together before the wedding day?
After getting all the planning done and finalising everything the week before. Myself, Robbie and our daughter Lacey had a lovely meal, sat down together and watched a film. That was our time out, everything was done and in a few days I would become Mrs Price – the same name as them.
Did you have a theme? If so, why did you chose this theme?
We just wanted something very classy and elegant. After a few meetings and mock ups with my fantastic wedding planner Karen – Panache, we put the perfect colour scheme and table decor together. I was blown away on the day by how incredible the room looked.
What’s your favourite memory of the day?
There where quite a few special memories. One was seeing my Dad for the first time as I walked down St Tewdrics’ beautiful stairs. But one that’s stuck is when myself and Robbie took a moment to sit back and take the day in, as it all seemed to go so fast. The morning went quick, so did the ceremony and having our photos done. So during our reception meal we just sat there together and watched everyone and taking it all in. I remember thinking how beautiful the room and everyone in it looked. All our guests where smiling, laughing and just enjoying themselves. That memory has stuck with us.
Why did you choose the venue you did?
As soon as we visited St Tewdrics House we were blown away by how incredibly beautiful it was. Everything was just perfect about it and the owners Efion and Beth was the nicest people and just made us feel so welcome.
Any advice to future brides/grooms?
Exactly what we were advised – take a moment together to sit back, watch and take everything in. The day goes so fast, and it’s all very overwhelming!
