Oh what a day! These two tied the knot at the exceptional Glen Yr Afon in Usk and it was literally the most fun ever! After getting home, I thought to myself – I’m ready to do that all over again! <3 You guys are the best!

How did the proposal happen?

Dan took me to the place where he first told me that he loved me in Cardiff Bay & got down on one knee! I was so shocked.

What’s your favourite memory together before the wedding day?

Welcoming our baby boy, Oliver into the world. It made our love even stronger.

Did you have a theme? If so, why did you chose this theme?

I wanted a very soft and romantic look to the day so I choose blush pink and ivory for the colour theme. We were lucky that the sun was shining so bright on our day – it made our aesthetic look even more elegant!

What’s your favourite memory of the day?

The way Dan looked at me whilst saying his vows, the emotion will stay with me forever.

Were there any pleasant surprises?

It was the hottest day of the year so it was like having an abroad wedding but at home!

Why did you choose the venue you did?

We wanted somewhere quite small and intimate and with a lot of character. Carol and her team at Glen Yr Afon House Hotel didn’t disappoint! She understood my vision from day one and we were really happy with the results.

Any other special details / touches?

One of our bridesmaids sang for us during the evening. It was a really special touch.

Any advice to future brides / grooms?

Enjoy every minute of the planning process! And don’t have any regrets – if you want something to make your day special then have it! Also Dan and I took a moment together during the evening to just be on our own, it was lovely!
