Sophie & Michael
Oldwalls Gower
So it started with insane bride prep and ended with a full dance floor, but that was obviously going to happen with these two. I’m not sure I’ve ever met a bride quite so chilled on the run up to her a wedding day (but I’m not sure Mikey would agree with me there… ha!). As always Oldwalls in the Gower made for a special setting, combining the highest level of cuisine and attentive staff with beautiful surrounding countryside, lakes and beeches. Have a wonderful honeymoon you beautiful pair, you pulled off an amazing day <3

How did the proposal happen?
Very boring really – after a casual shop in town we popped into Crouch to try on some rings! I found the one I loved and it fitted perfect. Mike bought it there and then. Later that evening proposed!
What’s your favourite memory together before the wedding day?
Having our beautiful little boy Louie!
Did you have a theme? If so, why did you chose this theme?
We went for really simple white & ivory – I wanted to keep it elegant!
What’s your favourite memory of the day?
The whole day – we honestly can’t choose!
Were there any pleasant surprises?
It was the most beautiful day seeming as we got married in October. Blue skies – we couldn’t of asked for better weather! It felt like the middle of summer.
Why did you choose the venue you did?
We wanted somewhere outside of Cardiff. I saw Oldwalls and totally fell in love – I booked the venue before Mike had seen it!
Any other special details / touches?
Our dessert table was a massive hit! We had cake pops, mini cupcakes, doughnuts and more for our guests to enjoy and help themselves to! Also, still to this day our guests talk about Ryan and Miles our photographers. They played a part in our wedding and joined in to interact with the guests (banter with the boys!) – not just our photographers!
Any advice to future brides / grooms?
Enjoy every second – take 5 minutes out for you both on the day. It’s so overwhelming!!
